and then a month later she administers it to save a life.

shannon was taking a leisurely drive home from out of town. took a little bit of a wrong turn - wouldn’t have normally even been on that street but saw about five people giving someone the Heimlich maneuver - it didn’t appear to be doing anything. . . .

We had sponsored Narcan training at work and she said it looked like it could've been an overdose...so she asked those folks if they thought it was an OD and said she had Narcan and has been trained in it. . . . Their face was totally blue. Shannon administered the Narcan.

Within 5 minutes they were standing and wanting to walk home. When the paramedics showed up they told her this had never happened before, that she was the first person that had Narcan readily available and that the kid would have died had she not been there. . . . Shannon was the one that arranged the training here at CWP and less than 2 months later she saved a kids life. . . . and hopefully, that kid now has the opportunity to hopefully get whatever help they need. . . .
