when it comes down to shirts – there are different cuts (style or fit). we can do anything from a standard basic tshirt to a triblend blowout…its all pretty much up to you and what you want to accomplish with your design. to oversimplify this whole thing, there are four common shirt styles we use.
- Basic
Our basic shirt is the Gildan G5000 100% preshrunk cotton tee.You can substitute in similar weight tees from Anvil, Fruit of the Loom, Hanes, or Jerzees here, but we found Gildan to be the crowd favorite.
For the price its a great tee, not super heavy, not super light, runs pretty true to size with a some-what "boxy" cut.
This shirt is the good old standard tshirt. perfect for giveaways, those on a budget, or when you want to test the market with a new idea.
- ringspun
Ringspun cotton shirts are a step up from the basic cotton tee without having to spend the money that an American Apparel or Alternative shirt would cost. Our favorite ringspun shirt is the Anvil 980, but we can use the Gildan G640 or Hanes 4980 for the same cost.Ringspun cotton shirts are a lighter weight than the basic cotton tee, softer feel and a more tailored cut. These are very similar to American Apparel or Alternative Apparel shirts without the higher price tag.
These are great shirts for anyone thinking fashion forward - bands, clothing lines, and people looking to get away from the boxy rougher basic tee, but not wanting to pay for top shelf.
These shirt also have girls counterparts that are tailored to fit women and give a more flattering fit than the basic tee.

Fashion forward tees are typically the shirts offered by American Apparel and Alternative Apparel.These are extremely light weight shirts that are very soft and typically have a "worn in" feel, and in some cases even a "worn in" look. Due to some of the processes these shirts are made with they may have unique features that make each shirt a little different with no two being exactly the same.
These are great shirts for people who have an audience that knows what they want and are willing to pay for it. These shirts also typically run slightly smaller than others, something to keep in mind when planning sizes.
